  1. I know exactly where you're going to be dropped off - there's always a long line of empty tourist coaches lined up there!

    The good thing about that spot is it's where the hop-on/hop-off open-top bus tours of London stop and start. So you could do that - jump on one of them, and then you can get off wherever you fancy.

    Otherwise, in terms of walking, you're right by Hyde Park and Oxford Street. If you're happy to take public transport, you're within easy distance of the likes of Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden etc. And London Zoo too.

    If you do head to the Aquarium, you'll be right on the South Bank - perfect for a wander along the river, with great views of the Houses of Parliament, St Paul's Cathedral etc. And the London Eye is next to the Aquarium as well.

    Have a great time. London's a fabulous city, despite the bad press it sometimes it receives.

  2. No Zoo not all that near    Its near Regents park,,  Nearest things are Madam Tussauds  or Planetarium   And Oxford Street shopping of course

  3. Marble arch is at the far end (from me) of oxford street so shopping has got to be on the list. From here you have numerous options. Immediate attractions would include Diana memorial (not sure if its still operating) in hyde park, marble hyde being on the corner of park. Within a 15 min walk you have buckingham palace, trafalgar square, piccadilly circus, hamleys toy store for your younger people (and me),

    St marys hospital where mr flemming accidentally came across penicillin, Mr Fayeds corner shop, known as Harrods, the expensive shops on knightsbridge. Madam tussauds and its wax works, soho if your looking for that something special for the husband, including a new wife! shaftesbury avenue with its theatres. Theres loads for you to do, I would advise looking into it to save yourself time looking around for things to do. If you gonna use the bus make sure you get an oyster card, halves the price of bus fares.

  4. Try these sites;

  5. with the tube system in london everything is accessible in just a few minutes. london zoo would be about 10 mins on tube from marble arch.

    enjoy your visit. hope the sun shines.
