  1. This website will help; it's the Ministry of Labour in Jamaica.

If you do apply, be sure to get the name of someone who works there so that you can keep in touch with that person as you keep track of the progress of your application.  Applications can take a long time if you don't do constant follow-up in Jamaica. Good luck!

  2. im not sure but ide like to know also. Maybe you have to get a job and sort of be sponsored over?

  3. In order to get a work permit you need to got to Immigration Office to get your papers to work.  Check out the Immigration website at www.ice.gov to get all information.

  4. I'm not really sure u know

  5. Contact anyone of the Jamaican embassies or Consuls here in the US and a representative will help with questions you may have.

You can check their Washington Embassy website at www.embassyofjamaica.org .  Their information about this says:

Foreign nationals who want to work in Jamaica, are required to obtain a work permit that is granted at the discretion of the Ministry of Labour in Jamaica. The permit should be obtained prior to arrival in Jamaica. Contact:

    Ministry of Labour

    1F North Street

    Kingston, Jamaica

Visas are issued by Jamaican Consular officials only after confirmation that a work permit has been issued to the applicant.

Finding a job is difficult because of the competition for these scarce opportunities. However http://www.go-jamaica.com/jobsmart/  and http://jamaicaobserver.com/careers.asp publish the most regularly updated list that I know of.

    Good luck.
