WHen I lived in trini we went to Chagaramas, maybe you can try there

try Manzanilla.

right by the river mouth u can find a nice spot for fishing, lots of ppl do there.

in that one spot u can park an fish right where your car is..

I would try right outside Tsunami in Chaguaramas, there is especially good for catching cutlass fish and catfish.

Mayaro is also good but you'lll have to wade into the water and fish from there.

If you are really adventurous check out the swamp gishing in Caroni and along the OSuth Bound highway too. Cascadura and tilapia a plenty.

If you really want to fish and don't have a boat you can charter a boat for the day. Check out the tackle shop along the main road or the fishermen in Chaguaramas they'll point you in the right direction.

Last time I chartered with Rocky and I got his name through the dive shop as he is a dive shop operator in Chaguaramas.

Also, you can check with The Institute of Marine Affairs in Chaguaramas they may be able to point you to areas where you can safely catch fish that are fit for human consumption.
