Anyone notice Tom Hammond's transvestite clown TV makeup look?

When I first saw it I thought that it was a terrible joke by a makeup artist, or that he had cancer, but it has been the same for years and he seems healthy.... his cheeks are bright pink and his eyes look like a goth girl who's been crying.... anyone else notice this or is it just me??? (btw Tom Hammond is a sportscaster on NBC)

I'm with you all the way on this! What could be his reason for doing so? I'm wondering if his makeup caused a few of the US athletes to be a bit standoffish when speaking to him the first few nights of the events. I mean how do you look him in the eyes and keep a straight face? I feel bad for him...
