The point I was trying to make is that I have never seen her look so old.

  1. No I didnt. I guess you have to be a special kind of person to notice such earth shattering trivia...

  2. like mother like daughter,if i can say

  3. Wow - they must be related!

  4. apart from one detail...........  the Queen Mother had teeth like old tombstones- all that wealth and she couldn't be ar$ed to get them seen to

  5. The photographer better thank her lucky stars she did not ask Queen Victoria to remove her "crown" (crass ignorance it was a tiara).

  6. Lots of people look like their parents, it's not a shock.

  7. Yes I did, she does well and looks as fit as a fiddle.

  8. I don't agree, Her Majesty The Queen bears a much more striking resemblance to both Her Father, King George VI and especially Her Grandmother, the formidable Grand Lady Queen Mary.

To the unkind contributor who criticised the late Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother - if you knew what you were talking about you would know that The Queen's Mother had a morbid fear of dentists!

  9. Ramo said it well, and he is also right about the person who made the rude comment about the late Queen Mother..the fear of dentists kept here way nothing more

  10. So how do expect someone to look when they are in their 80's?  Like a teenager with body piercings?

Pray to whatever Gods you acknowledge that you are as fit and active as Queen Elizabeth at that age.  I just hope I will be.

Funny this thing about getting to look like your parents; gosh  - must be something to do with genetics!!!!   Well what a surprise!

  11. She did?I wonder why?No one ever says that I look like the Queen Mother.

  12. When I was young and about to get married an 80 year old man said to me, "I'll give you one piece of advice, take a long hard look at her mother. If you fancy waking up in the morning and facing that then marry the girl but if you don't run like h**l, 'cos that's what she'll look like."  I did not take the advice but looking back he was right and no I am not going to insult my deceased mother-in-law. I'm not brave or foolish enough to insult my wife. WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY IS: WHAT DID YOU EXPECT.
