Question:

Anyone notice the cooking temperature was inadequate on the new George Foreman grills with removable plates?

I bought the new model with removable plates and find that it doesn't heat up as hot as my old grill. It seems like because the heating element is separate from the grill plate, hence the removable plate feature, the contact is not ideal. My meats never sizzle or have grill marks...did I get a bad grill or are removable plates a bad idea?

Thanks!

  1. Unless it has an adjustable temp.  None of these George Foreman grills cook correctly.  Unless you are cooking small steak or burgers.  Doesn't work with chicken or fish.  That's my personal experience living in the dorms, you get creative.
