Strange how they are only now publicly developing electrostatic drives.

  1. No, and frankly I think they are just crackpots who had no understanding of conventional scientific theories and observations. To be fair the coler one does have possibilities but the labyrintha is off on another planet. Since the time of his so called magnetic experiments and publication of his book in 1945, conventional science has made such fantastic advances especially in the understanding of the atom, that it leaves his theories in fantasy land. As for electrostatic drives there is a lot of physics involved in making a machine capable of any useful work. For example we still have not engineered an electrostatic motor capable of matching the workload of conventional electric motors or gasoline engines in large scale applications like vehicles and machinery. On the other hand they definitely come into their own when it comes to micro machine applications.  Have a look at the following:
