Question:

Anyone notice the transparent and sudden shift in McCain's campaign?

So now McCain is suddenly pushing "reform" and Palin stresses that she is a "working mom". Since when did he care about reform? ISn't that a synonym of "change"? When did the GOP care about being a 'working mom'? Since they heard the DNC speeches. They are obviously reacting/copying Obama's campaign and have no strategy of their own. Any ideas? I have yet to hear WHY people want McCain to win. I haven't even heard MCain clearly state why he would be good. Even Tucker Bounds, (McCain campaign spokesperson) couldn't think of one major accomplishment of Palin's on CNN today. The reporter kept asking and Tucker Bounds kept circumnavigating the answer. This is ridiculous and condescending. Very transparent. Any intelligent thoughts?

  1. McCAIN has been about reform for 20 years, YOU IGNORANT person, you need to go away and do some solid research before coming with moronic statements

  2. Because McCain is desperately trying to be like Obama's "hope and change" message.

It's sad that the McCain campaign can't settle on one theme or message, but their transparent attempts at 'compassionate conservatism' is falling woefully short of the target goal.

Neither McCain nor Palin intend on being a 'friend' to the social conservatives, the religious right, or the anti-abortion crowd.

What I do know is that they intend on continuing Bush's failed policies and that's all I need to know.

(Because I can see it in their body language and the way they speak in public.)

    It's all transparent hypocrisy.

  3. You are right....McCain is getting desperate.  Isn't it odd that McCain is going to "reform" his own party?

The American people have clearly voiced their displeasure at the current administration and the direction we are going in this country.

You can tell a lot about a politician by how they vote on legislation.  The website below is about the best I have found:

  4. I have many intelligent thoughts.

As for Palin's accomplishments. She pissed off the GOP in Alaska by cleaning out the corruption . She fixed the big oil companies and made them pay huge fines. And this was just in 18 months.

I'm not very high on McCain but I believe Palin will be good for the country.

  5. I understand what you are trying to say but the thing is McCain got his nickname the 'maverick' because he went against the status quo and brought about change,, it has been his theme for yrs. He also reaches out to the other side for what is the good of the country not for sticking with his party for the sake of politics as usual...   Obama has done an about face and joined 'the good old boys'. Palin is the same kind of maverick and has brought about change in her state. Obama sat in the senate and ran an education program with Ayers that failed and cost the tax payers millions of dollars.

  6. His nickname "Maverick" was given to him well before Obama came along.  Perhaps he is attempting to represent the will of the public?  Isn't that what a president should do?

  7. NO .. not really !!

Alaska Govermor Sarah Palin has MORE TOTAL political experience than Obama!!

    KS1982

  8. I saw that, too.  Bounds couldn't come up with one single answer, perhaps because Palin hasn't accomplished anything noteworthy. The main reasons I've observed on YA for voting for McCain include such savvy political ideology as:

    "He's not Obama."

"Obama's an empty suit." (Personally, I think this is an apt description of Gov. Palin.)

    "He's a Christian, & Obama's a Muslim."

"Obama's a socialist."  (I can only conclude that if their teachers asked them to write a one-page definition of socialism, they would most likely fail.)

McCain's totally inappropriate choice was not only ridiculous & condescending, but irresponsible as well.

  9. No.  The two are incompetent.

    Don't go there

  10. I asked the same question that CNN asked.

  11. Gov Palin's accomplishments are many, varied and easy to explain. I don't know who you were watching or when.

  12. What I am seeing is a trend in popularity contests.

I support Obama and have for quite some time, but once in awhile I feel a little agitated with his repeated speeches and punchlines and with the feel of a rock concert that his rallies seem to have.

What I see the GOP doing is trying to have a rock concert of their own...or maybe a Hockey Tournament?!

I really would like all candidates to just get down to business and tell us point blank what they would like to see in the next 4 years without all the shenanigans and hollywood theatrics.

Don't know if that was an intelligent thought, but it was my own.

  13. These guys are desperate to get Bush/Cheney politics continued for  four more years!

  14. oh my god i saw that interview and i was rolling on the floor laughing....even the McCain camp can't come up with why Palin is on the ticket with her "experience" ..he kept dodging the question. I was waiting for Tucker to start shaking him "look this is what I'm asking" "now answer the question"
