Anyone on here from Ireland today?

How are ya doing? If I vacation in Ireland what is the best time of year to do so? And where should I start my vacation? North? South? Dublin?

What are you interested in?  Scenery? Museums? Nightlife? Fishing?  There are so many diverse things to do, depending on your poison (our way of saying "whatever you're into").

Depends also on how much time you have.

Also, depends when you are coming.  I have friends in CA who love to come in the winter to experience the difference in climate.

I'm Irish, and I'm doing okay, thanks! The best time of year is during the summer - try July or August, as you're most likely to get good weather. Although it's almost guaranteed you'll see rain while you're here too.

As for what part to visit, it depends on what you're interested in. There's plenty to do in Dublin - museums, the zoo, pubs etc, but the west of Ireland - Galway, Mayo, Clare etc - is beautiful. If you can, it'd be great to travel across the country from Galway to Dublin, for example.

Summer's best to avoid rain,but you can't be guarenteed!

Start in Dublin,but definetly visit other places like The west and South-east!

start with dublin as its a great city, then head south along the coast and over to the west.

you will never be guaranteed good weather, but august and september usually have sun, and also the end of may beginning of june.

Howya doin'!  Well done on choosing Ireland as your next holiday destination.  Ireland is a smashin' place to go on holiday - and regularly wins the award for the best Irish holiday destination.

Anyways, if you go to Ireland, the rain may not be as common as you think.  The best time of year to visit the country is during the summer months, because there is a large variety of festivals for tourists, and the weather is usually mild but not too hot.  However, it is most expensive at this time of the year, and you must book your vacation well in advance.

The terrible thing is, when people visit Ireland, they sometimes tend to visit only Dublin and the East coast.  This is fine if you're only staying a few days, but if you're staying more than a few days, you should also visit the west coast.  You should visit County Kerry (Especially visit the Kerry Museum in Tralee), County Clare and County Galway.

Yup, DON'T come here in winter if you're expecting snow. It NEVER comes. Try going to the south of Ireland in Summer, it's very nice.

Best time of year is probably July/August as this is when most festivals/events happen. You should start (and finish) you vacation in the south/southwest  - this is the real Ireland - Kerry for the scenery, fishing, Dingle, Tralee, Killarney, - Cork for much of the same (but worse accents) - Clare for The Burren. Only go to Dublin if you want to see the book of Kells - the rest of it is much the same as any city anywhere. Best of luck and enjoy your holiday.

Unfortunately you can never be guaranteed good weather in Ireland coz sometimes it rains in the middle of summer lol but June July Aug would prob be your best bet for a bit of sun. Depends what kind of holiday your looking for, Id try fly into Cork or Shannon and do the South West, Cork, Kerry etc, Fab beaches and scenary and pleny tourist attractions. Try www.ireland.ie
