Anyone out there claimed bankruptcy???

Hi - I am claiming banruptcy and I'm wondering what other people have paid for it. My lawyer is charging 1975.00 for the entire thing, but I wondered if I should check around for a lower price.

Please, no anwers telling me NOT to claim bankruptcy!

Why don't you just call around?  I think if you look at a phone book in the yellow pages section under Attorneys many of them have ads that they will do bankruptcies.  Call a few and get some quotes to compare.  If someone tells you a price from this site, they may be living in a completely different section of the country and the price in their area may not be the same as the price in your area.

Wow, where to you live? Mine was 2 years ago and about $1200. I don't know if it was considered simple or complicated, I had a car, no house, etc & it discharged about $50K.
