I always cut myself when shaving any advice?

I always shave from up to down and I can go over some areas a few times and it hardly shaves any of the hair so I end up shaving from up to down which usually gets it all but I usually end up bleeding when I do this even though I don't feel pain from a cut.Any advice on which products to use and any techniques to help prevent cutting.

  1. If you use a lubricating gel or one for sensitive skin you get a smoother shave than using shaving cream.

I am too lazy to shave every day so some weeks I only shave once or twice.

I shave in the direction that the hair grows, then I shave the other direction.

Another thing to do is make sure you are using a sharp blade.

Dull blades pull and make you have to push then harder toward your skin.

Sharp blades cut through the hairs easily.

  2. never shave against the direction of hair growth. It can cause ingrowing hairs and irritate the skin, as well as causing cuts more easily.

Use a good soap. use a sharp razor. NEVER let anyone else use it on any other hair type (womens leg hair blunts it fast).

I have a shaving mirror in the shower and use shampoo, lather my whole head and then shave in the shower.

  3. in the good old days when you could go to the barbers for a shave they softened the beard up with a hot towel try heating a damp towel in the microwave[carefully] and try it on your face first that might help

  4. Rinse your razor in cold water when shaving, hot water expands thr razor blade cutting edge and you get cut easier,

  5. Shaving well is an art.

Always shave in the opposite direction that the stubble grows.

Always use a shaving cream or soapy shampoo on the area.

    Always use a sharp blade

Always use hot water to rinse the blade in

  6. get an electric one and you won't get cut

  7. conditioner generally give a closer shave also clean the razor to remove any hair blockages by tapping it

do not shave up this is a bad thing to do

    or grow a beard

  8. Shave after you shower, the hair is softened

Use hot water and splash all over area

Use Nivea for men sensitive shaving gel

I recommend a Quattro Titanium, the one with the battery powered blades

Go with the direction of the hair, like others have suggested.  If you feel like it's dragging against the hair rather than pulling and cutting smoothly, your going against the grain of the stubble

Rinse off with hot or cold water

Don't bother with balms and stuff

Use the best aftershave you can afford, or better still, the one your girlfriend buys for you, don't overdo it.  A little is more

I use Hugo Boss or the Giorgio Armani my girl bought for me, which I save exclusively for her

btw:  Girls like a bit of stubble sometimes

    : )

  9. make sure your face is clean and use an electric razor, after shave lotion and keep razor clean and oiled.

  10. I'd recommend an electric shaver, some are expensive but so are blades and in the long run is cheaper and MUCH faster.
