  1. I'm a huge advocate of women staying home, but God what do you do all day, find a hobby asap.

  2. Well, haven't you got any hobbies or interests or anything you want to do?

How about doing some adult education classes, or volunteering to work in a charity shop or something? Or writing a book, that would keep you busy?  What about gardening, cooking, sewing, painting, pottery, learning a foreign language?  Or just reading a book.  There must be something you are interested in, surely?

  3. One of the unintended side effects of Women pursuing careers is the loss of Women in compassionate Service in the Community. Stay at Home Moms frequently were involved in Volunteer work at schools, Churches, Hospitals, Libraries and rendered compassionate service to shut ins and the disabled.

Much of this Community Service that benefited society is gone. And is being replaced with Government Services at a much higher cost. And often with less real love and compassion. In truth Women were the heart of the Home. Men were the discipline and rule enforcers.

Now the discipline and rules enforcers are removed. Societal chaos, an explosion of crime is the result. In the UK they are talking about banning knives. Much like Gun Control Laws in the US. Knife Control Laws in the UK to combat the rising violence and murders with Knives.

  4. What a lot of women did in years gone past was find something to be involved with in the community, so they had an activity after they'd finished the housework, etc.

Of course, it's also true that in the past housework took longer ~ fewer labour saving devices, for one thing, lol.

But you could see if there is a local charity that needs some help a few hours a week, or you could take a course in something that's useful in the home ~ organic vegetable gardening, fruit and vegetable bottling and preserving, upholstery repairs, all the sorts of things people (mostly women) used to do at home which we now pay top dollar for.

Getting involved in the community is not just good for easing boredom, it's also great networking. Everyone needs friends and community!

If all your housework is done and you're just sitting about trying to find fulfillment, you will go mad. You need to get busy!

    Cheers :-)

  5. why are you a homemaker if you have no kids? no wonder you're vexed! get a hobby, get out of the house. there's only so many times you can mop the floor in one day

  6. find a new guy...get some kids..or look for another means of fulfillment

  7. Hey girl, I'm one who does all the cooking, food shopping & most of the cleaning chores. I married a younger chick who doesn't want to retire & loves the idea of her man waaiting on her & so do I.

  8. Get a pet.

  9. All you need to do is get out there in your community and see what is available. Or maybe even a part-time job.

April - what are your hobbies besides b!tching people out for not being exactly like you? Y!A isn't a hobby - it's a time-killer.

And don't email me. Just answer  - and preferably without exclamation points.

  10. I'm married but we do't want kids. I think unless you really want them, there's no reason to have them. You can spend your life doing exactly what you want to do.
