Anyone out there still hitch hike?

The last time we saw a hitch hiker in the UK was about 18 month ago. He was going from Portsmouth to Newcastle though! : )

A few, I havent had to for a few years, but I am always happy to pick up anyone who I see hitching, I regularly travel down the M3 A303 A30from Blackbushe Car Auctions in Surrey to Devon on a thursday night and have given one or two hitchers a lift, it pisses me off that people are afraid of everyone these days, it is that, that makes the world a bad place.

No. I did it back in the 70's. I was working & in college & there was a bus strike. The only way I could get there on time was to hitch-hike. I was lucky that nothing happened to me. One time a preacher picked me up & gave me a lecture. (US- Philadelphia)
