  1. I used to use a wintec at my lessons but I'm tall (5'11'') and the saddle was wayyyyy to small for me. I then bought a stubben siegfried specifically because they have longer stirrup leathers and I love it!!! My instructor told me I've improved so much because of the new saddle. If you're tall I would definitely recommend a stubben siegfried!

  2. I've had my Stubben Siegfreid for 25 yrs. (got it 2nd hand)  It'll be with me to the end.

  3. cant go wrong with a stubben, especially the ones that were made in germany. they go on forever.  the later swiss ones are good also. the panels can be restuffed. leather is beautiful and made to last.

  4. I own a Stubben Siegfried VSS. I've had it approximately 4 years, and I love it! The leather is supple and the seat is comfortable, and I'm sure it will only get better as I use it more and more :) It's a fabulous all purpose saddle!

  5. I have a Stubben Siegfried VSS that is an older saddle and I LOVE it.I can't stand to ride in anything else.Unfortunately...it has the old suede flaps and is dark leather and definitely looks well used -so it is inappropriate for shows. It is so comfortable!!! I use it for flat work and over fences.

  6. I've owned my Stubben Siegfried A/P since 1972, it's a 1969 model that had little or no mileage when I got it.  I've used it for jumping (I was in it when I made my one and only 6' fence in '77.), I've hacked it down the trail, used it for flat work and done some limited dressage in it and of course shown in it.  It's still here, My horse kids have borrowed it to show in and I've shown in it, AGES ago, I sold my Wintec Sport back in the early 90's after playin' around in it for about a year.
