  1. Why?  Is the government hiding something again?  My lights are hardly ever on anyway.

  2. Yes, I am. Turning off the lights for the Earth Hour is the least I can do for the air I breathe.

I started "flicking off" unused lights three months ago (got the idea from a commercial)... and it's addictive ;P

Ahhh love this line..... Just FLICK OFF!

  3. I am going to do this, too!  Thanks for spreading the word!

  4. i am! i'm soo greatful for Earth Hour. it's just one hour. you could go out and watch a movie and turn off your lights. its' simple!!

  5. i did

  6. of course i will!

i'm glad i came across your question... :]

  7. I was planning on participating but didn't know I should register somewhere. Thanks for that information.

I'll go check it out. BTW Your link is wrong and didn't work.

  8. i am

  9. That's just plain ridiculous.  To me in a way it implies that everyone is the problem, not just the rich megaconsumers of developed nations.  It implies that the consumer should be on his honor to save the world, rather than the market actually reflecting the price of a commodity (after correcting for environmental concerns).

Oh, a thumbs down; great... what mind-numbing naivete.  You people are going to get all excited about saving tens of thousands of dollars worth of fuel tomorrow, but you're going to forget to divide by the number of people who participated - in the end the result if commonsense; each person will have saved an hour worth of lighting, minus any money spent on candles.  It's like eating value meal number 1 twice a day for 20 years and then getting a diet coke and feeling okay about yourself.  Now compare your savings to the worldwide consumption of electricity - the result is approximately zero percent savings.

  10. I did more than my part last night when I turned off the lights for eight hours while I slept
