I found this quite interesting because my new insurance hasn't kicked in for my new job and I was normally paying $15 every month for birth control (generic brand). Now that I DO NOT have insurance it is $9 for the same one!! Can anyone explain this? I asked the guy behind the counter and he just said they offer some meds at a cheaper price sometimes. Well, it wasn't cheaper when I was paying my insurance company and paying them a higher price!! This was at Walmart.

  1. wal-mart and kroger offer non insurance holders  selected drugs at  a very low price, so when you have isurance you pay full price, and just pay the regular o pay, its like allowing the over charging insurance holders more so they can discount to the non insurance holders of that makes any sense

  2. this is where the pharmacy makes its money, and does not charge a walk up consumer the same price.
