Not really.   I got a job where I live at work.   Don't have to pay for anything; haven't bought food or gas for 3 months.   Only problem is today will be the first day I've only worked 8 hrs since the end of march.

Well thanks to China's recent leap into Hydro powered cars, fuel's price should go down to $2-$3 by 2009.

At this current moment, I am angery at the government for not trying new technology as hydro, wind, electric (Static), or solar power is available. I can understand change is hard but I rather change my way of living now before I become poor because of gas prices.

Biodiesel is easy to make, and works out a lot cheaper.  With free oil, it costs about 10p a litre, when we have to buy the oil from the supermarket it's about 80p a litre. It's fairly easy to do even if you have the most basic knowledge of chemistry.

We need a car as I'm in a wheelchair and there's no suitable public transport here.  We haven't bought fuel from a petrol station this year but have made our own.  Our car runs well on it, as most diesels do.  It's also very green option.

It costs 80 quid to fill our diesel car, which I am refusing to do! If 10,000 people boycotted the fuel stations like I have, but just for one week, the government would have to think again, and actually take action to lower the prices. STRIKE ACTION FOR THE MASSES!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to say use public transport but the cost of travelling on a bus where I live is so expensive it is not a viable option. It is in fact, mile per mile, cheaper to fly! My theory is that if we all stop buying cheap imports from China their economy will slow and so will their drain on the earths resources.  Their one child policy will eventually curb their overpopulation.  Perhaps the rest of the world could follow their lead.  Fewer people = less demand =cheaper prices. Problem Solved.

Yes I agree. A couple of tips to keep your gas prices lower are: 1. Gas molecules shrink when cold and expand when hot, so you get more gas for the same price if you fill up in the morning or late night when the ground is cold. 2. Keep your tank filled as much as possible. The more air in the tank, the faster gas will evaporate. Hope this helps! : )

okay don't fall for the dodge scheme sure if u buy gas on a credit card they only charge u $2.99 but they just add what they're supposedly 'losing' to the price of the car you purchase. we have so much oil in our country and anwar (dunno how to spell it sorry), alaska, offshore, etc. sure gas is $8 in europe but this is america and we don't have to suffer this with all the oil we have! push for domestic drilling. I have called my state senators and congressma to give them a piece of my mind! Nancy Pelosi and Diane Finestine probly won't give a c**p but atleast i can say i did something. Vote the democrats out of congress they are ruining our economy by not letting us drill and use our very own oil!

many cars are making full electric cars in the near future... Honda is making a 100% electric car in 2010, and its not going to be too expensive i heard.. until then, you can get a hybrid maybe... but ya... gas prices suck.... not much else we can do about it

Over here (England), fuel prices were high anyway, but now they are even higher!  I don't drive myself, in fact I hate cars and they make me sick, but I have to listen to my parents go on and on about the price rise!

Ride your bike like they do in Europe.  Can't tax it, can't raise the price.  Problem is, Americans have grown to be lazy.  In wanting a better life for our children, we have spoiled them to the point where they are greedy, lazy, and destroying our country.  We have only ourselves to blame.  Example:  My nephew got a flat tire on his bike.  Wanted a ride so he could get air in the tire.  Two blocks away!!! In my day, we were grateful if we had a bike!  How F'ng lazy is that??? No wonder so many of them are obese.

you know what gets me? people will go into a store, and buy a loaf of bread for 5 bucks when they can buy the same loaf for maybe a buck fifty. or an outfit for 100 bucks when again, you can get the same thing for maybe 25 at a cheaper, non-brand name store. there are an infinite amount of different scenarios for the same idea.

so why does everyone freak out when they see the gas prices raise one dime??? why does that 10 cents matter so much to everyone, like its the end of the world, when those same people will pay the same amount of money for something they don't even need? or carelessly spend that extra 2 dollars on a gallon of milk?

gas prices has decrease in such small portions, but when it increase, it goes up like " .....DAmnnn" . its never gonna go down. From where im at currently, unleaded gas is already $4.63. And that is an outragee!. I think we all should go on a Riot.
