Anyone please check if this sentence is right?

Question: Before "they supported the Bores’ right to self-determination, and they supported to not fight in the war because it was no threat to Canada", there is a semi-colon, should it be a semi-colon or a comma or should I just start a new sentence about the French Canadians?

Just looking at it, it needs to be more than one sentence. That's a good 5 1/4 lines of one sentence, and that's too much. Just break it up a little. =)

The French Canadians had no loyalty to Britain and supported the Bores' right to self-determination and avoiding the war since it had no threat to them.

You should start a new sentence. The sentence beginning "English Canadians" continues to talk about French Canadians. The "they" after the semicolon is obscure, and making a full stop might help you see that.

Do be aware that it is Boers, not Bores, and that "supported to not fight" is entirely ungrammatical. But that's not what you asked. Nor did you ask whether the English felt this "is" the time or "was" the time; or what is the agreement in showing Britain their loyalty to them.
