I... I sold an account to a game on the internet.. (world of warcraft) for 450 dollars! they sent it to my paypal and I spent it already! and paypal... they withdrew 450 dollars because the person filed an "unauthorized claim"... im very scared, I'm only 12, my mom is goign to be pissed, I dont want it to take from her bank account or anything we dont have a lot of money, im really really scared, please help me! and the three options for appealing this are, 1. Issue the buyer a full refund. (If you have not yet shipped the item to the buyer, selecting this option will settle the claim.)

, 2. I can provide tracking information. (Because it can prove that the item was shipped to the account holder's address, this information can determine the validity of the claim.) now I cant do option 2 because.. I sent them what they paid for over the internet.. I gave them the account name and the password..

3. The buyer has already been refunded and I can provide proof of the previous refund.

im going to cry! what can I do! I have 7 days to repsond!

  1. 1) My wife, who plays a LOT of WoW, says that $450 isn't outrageous for an account with a character (or characters) with lots of honor, good gear, high level, etc.  (I thought it was, but I don't play.)

    2) It depends on exactly what the buyer's complaint was.  It doesn't sound as if there's a legitimate one, unless you promised something you couldn't deliver.

    3) If the buyer still has the account, you have a third out - Blizzard.

Speak to your mom - you're too young, both in experience and legally, to handle this by yourself.  Have her email me if she wants to talk about it.

  2. Basically, what it boils down to is that you got scammed. They now have your account for wow and they got their money back. The only chance you have of proving anything depends on how you sent them the info.If you emailed it to them, most any email client saves sent emails until you delete them.Hopefully, that was how you did it.If you did, just forward the email to paypal, that will serve as your proof of shipment.Good luck.

  3. If I were you I would go with #2 If it hasn't gotten to them you can prove that you shipped it to them and then get them to give you your (moms) money back.

  4. So you're saying that you spent money that you just got from the internet and then the person said you lied about what you were selling so they got a refund of money you spent? Are you sure they got the account name and password? And are you sure the things in the account were as you described?

I mean for tracking information you could send a letter to them with the account name and password and use that tracking information.
