Anyone read a book about a guy killing only bad people, driving around playing a game on his laptop?

  1. That sounds a bit like "Complicity" by Iain Banks - he was an Edinburgh journalist and the game he was playing was called "Despot" (loosely based on "Civilization" I think). Been a while since I read it but the name of the game stuck in my head...

    Though I'm not sure he was the one who actually did the killings, but he was always in the vicinity - possibly he was being framed for the murders. But the people did all deserve it, as far as I could tell - big-time crooks, corrupt politicians etc.


  2. the dexter books by jeff lindsay involve a guy killing only bad people, but nothing about driving around playing games on laptops, sorry.

  3. The tv show Dexter was first a book, so I'm guessing that, although I have never seen or read it.

  4. The plot reminds me a little of the TV series Dexter, but I don't know of a book with that plot.
