Anyone recognise this place?

I know it's in Oxford, but that's about it. I'm trying to get there for a day from London to take pictures for a project, just have to make sure I know where I'm going first 'cause I'd really rather not waste too much time and end up having to stay overnight.

its right in the centre of Oxford so you won't be able to miss it, its on New road

The tower is on New Road, opposite Oxford Castle Mound. You only get an overhead view on Google Maps, but the shadow gives the shape away. I think your picture was taken from one of the car parks to the East, but can't be certain.

The mound itself shows up as a big green blob on Google, between New Road and Tidmarsh lane.

I've walked past that landmark dozens of times and never looked up before. I will next time!
