  1. Meilla Alexandra Botique it is tres tres belle!

    (Very, Very, Beautiful!)

    Even closer is the Hilton

Keep in mind, nothing in Paris is cheap.

a meal that is just for 2 (soup and bread with cheese) 60Euros = 90 dollars       im not kidding!

P.S. say away from France's water it can really upset the tipical americans stomach, it will ruin your trip!  Also there are alot of pick pockets in france keep your money in an inside pocket, NOT A PURSE!

  2. We stayed at the Hotel Residence Foch, as it was highly recommended on the TripAdvisor website forum pages.  It's about 20 - 30 mins walk to the Eiffel Tower, and about 10 mins to the Arc de Triomphe.  Not as central as some, but a very pleasant hotel.  Lovely staff, very comfortable rooms.  We booked direct with them, they speak/write good English.

  3. Hotel du Muguet - about 1 km from the tower -close to the Invalides - google it - a very good place in a quiet little street

  4. There are a few reasonably priced hotels on rue Cler which is a short walk from the tower. We usually stay at La Serre but there are others. Some don't give La Serre a good review but we've always been very happy there. Also there are some excellent reasonably priced restaurants in that area too so you can eat somewhere different every evening. What I like best about rue Cler is that there is a small daily street market and it is full of atmosphere.

  5. I stayed at Comfort Hotel Bastille, which is at 71 Rue De Charonne, in 1999 and 2001.

It's nothing fancy, but it's fine, and the price is good.  I think they had an elevator but I'm not 100% sure - some hotels in France don't.

If you're looking for it on a map, find the two islands in the Sienne.  Now go just a little bit NE of the Easternmost island, and find Place de la Bastille.  Rue de Charonne is a couple blocks East of that.

    have a nice day!

  8. Nice, hotel, and inexpensive don't go together in Paris.

Nice, apartment, and inexpensive sometimes do though.

  9. IF YOU GET OFF THE TRAIN OR COACH (as you may) at Gar de norde. You will see loads of adds for cheap accomodation.
