  1. Try going to Toledo in Castilla-La Mancha. I also recommend Granada in Andalusia. If you want cheaper, Valladolid (museums galore, hehehe).

  2. Spain is cheap compared to other northwestern european countries. You can stay at 'paradores' (castles, monasteries, etc) for the price of a stay in a hotel. If you have kids, you can visit Port Aventura (Universal studios Mediterranean) in Tarragona, an hour away from Barcelona.

  3. The are tour groups that you can book your vacation with and start in Mandrid heads down to Gibaltar and back.  It includes several sightseeing destinations and 11 meals altogether.  Without airfare it is about $1300 pp and they offer air in the package if you want

  4. Hi you could have a really good holiday with low cost air fares in Almeria depending when you want to travel. The area around Villaricos is quite spectacular and the rental prices are reasonable. Hostels offer very good rates also provided they know who they are dealing with.

  5. Barcelona

    Spain is cheap anywhere.
