Anyone recommend anything in Alicante for my parents 60 ish visiting there next week?

Well, it really depends what they enjoy doing.

The Calle Mayor has some great shops, there is a flea market every Sunday in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

If they love chocolate (like I do!) there is a town about 90 km away called Villajoyosa & they could tour the Valor chocolate factory.

The Playa de San Juan is beautiful & just north of Alicante.



Every afternoon around 7 or so tons of people just stroll up & down the Ramblas which paralells the port.

There are lots of great restaurants all over town!  I always recommend the "menu del dia"

Also, on the top floor of the Hotel del Sol is a lovely restaurant with a great view of the entire city.
