Anyone recommend one HiDef camcorder over another?

I am looking to buy a HiDef camcorder and my head is spinning from all the choices like HD, Memory Stick and DVD models. Plus should I get CCD or CMOS. I know if its CCD, I should get a 3 CCD right?

you should be getting either a 3ccd of 3 cmos hd (or hdv) camera.

my sony hvr v1p shoots 25p progressive. excellent audio controls with dual xlr mic inputs.

try to consider a mini dv or dv cam version.

flash is in its infancy so its not proven yet. hdd can be tricky to import to computer plus if it stuffs up then replacement could be expensive. and dvd simply sux. the resolution is aweful.

ccd and cmos is very similar. ccd is a little sharper and cmos is more power efficient.
