Anyone related to Harrison's from Manchester?

Name is, Audrey Harrison, born in 1908. She is my grandmother and will be 100 this year!! Good ol' English genes!!! I don't know too much about her family from long ago but I do know she was born at that time, in Manchester, England. She has a brother named Gordy. Anyone????

If you know what her parents names are someone might be able to find them on the 1901 census. Does she have her birth cert, they should be on there, and her father's name will be on her wedding cert.

im not related to her but i heard she was very tall with a solid punch

Quite a common name in Manchester - there are in excess of 200 people with that surname listed on the Electoral Roll (my computer stops counting at 200)

Were her family in any particular area?

What you could do is to write a letter to the Manchester local newspaper (Google will give you address, etc) addressed to "The Reader's letters column" and ask if there is anyone who knew Audrey Harrison from "Salford" for example and who may be related to her and Gordy.

Was at uni with a friend called Keith Harrison - but think he was from Salford. He had blonde hair, and was a wee lad (5' 4").
