Anyone remember a San Francisco restaurant with good ribs located at Van Ness and Market in the 80's?

I remember it had small round tables with tall chairs in the bar area. It was always crowded especially at happy hour. It's gone now. Best I can remember that it was at or near the corner of Van Ness and Market.

Are you talking about Big Nate's?  It's at Van Ness and Folsom, not Market Street.  Just a couple of blocks farther south, and it's still there and still terrific.
