Anyone remember a song from the late 70's early 80s "We are the beat"?

Another song that I get fragments of in my head. Soon I will be incarcerated. This one is either "We Are The Beat" or "We Got The Beat" or something along those lines - it's not the Go Go's but a Mod -ish band from somewhere between 1978 - 1981. Someone, somewhere will earn my undying gratitude...

I have just found the song from a CD called SuperHits of the 80's. The song is called "I am The Beat" from The Look
