Question:

Anyone see Question Time last night?

The Competition Winner on the panel came across as a really big-headed upstart. as I noticed that he frequently interrupted IDS and had obviously prepared some snide remarks for him. Was IDS announced last week as being on the panel, while the Labour one wasn't? Saira from the Apprentice was also quite rude to him, as only she can be.

What this pair failed to realise is that the Tories are not in power, so they should have been directing their claptrap at the Labour Minister.

Saira seemed to have brought along her Fanclub, as her every pronouncement was greeted with whoops of joy from a certain section of the audience.

Having non-politicians on the panel can bring fresh blood to the programme, but the Competition Winner had not bothered to give some thought to questions which were likely to come up and Saira resorted to the same sort of stuff that you might hear in a Pub. "We only intervene in countries where there is oil", for instance. No oil in Kosovo, however, or Afghanistan.

  1. Sorry but Question Time has descended into the epitome of politics being 'showbiz for ugly people'.

It's like that every week now whether the panellists have a left -right-middle bias.

EDIT-I believe David Mellor was the founder member...;-)
