Who thinks England are deliberatly giving the opposition a false sence of security? they do not seem to be fielding all the strongest elements together, will they suddenly become a real powerhouse in the 1/4s??

  1. yes they were pretty bad, shame, but we need to up the game to stand any chances in the  future

  2. As i and a friend have said for 2 years, not only will England not win the world cup but they would struggle to get out of their group. We both foresaw the major difficulties in beating Samoa. The reasons are many but fundamentally are  that the rfu did not get rid of Andy Robinson soon enough and making Brian ashton's job virtually impossible with only 9 months to the tournament. I f reports are right, poor old edinburgh will be next in line to suffer. Ashton will have to totally dismantle the squad and start the rebuilding process. Also the basic abilities of the english players are not good enough. We are playing a game that is 5 to 10 years out of date. Get the young players in and learning about international rugby before 2011 is too late.

  3. I just can't see the poms knocking the aussies off. The only way they could do it would be to dominate the average Australian forward pack, starve them of possession, tackle themselves to death and for Johnny to just slot away drop goals and penalties all day.

  4. I dont know, at times they appear to be somewhere near good enough but the display against South Africa was appalling and if they play like that against Australia then it is goodbye. They should beat Tonga rather easily despite all the hot air spouted by the so called expert commentators such as Miles( I am a world class rugby player) Harrison and that failure Stuart Barnes.

  5. We are too slow off the rucks and we need to find some sense of bravery when it comes to handling the ball. We may be able to find that if the team pulls togeva but we need some individuals to make our team respond and say wow i shuld have a go at that. Otherwise we r screwed they need to take sum pride in their game and very soon!

  6. Which game were you watching today? Samoa just ran out of steam at the end hence making Eng look good.

  7. England showing signs of the 1991 AllBlacks on their defense of the World Cup believe me all the signs are there. They look like a team in disaray Foxy {AllBlack firstfive in 1991 world cup}kept us in the tournament. He was one of  the worlds best kicker back then and had a mean average.

Sorry mate your team isnt playing possum, maybe a slow dying one but the writing is on the wall..

  8. i just think its a shame what has gone on with the side we are still world champs till someone else wins it

  9. No I don't see England becoming a 'powerhouse' in the 1/4's - i still think they are nowhere in the class of NZ, SA and Australia. Neither do I think England are giving opposistion a false sense of security. In the match against Samoa there were moments where England looked in serious danger of giving the lead to Samoa. In the end England were very lucky to get the bonus point!

  10. England are just bad. They will NOT become a powerhouse in the 1/4s.

  11. no. they will not. they will go out in the quarters. scotland all the way!! wooo. lol.

  12. yeah watched it,was alot better than the game against the boks. But england will not retain the cup......no excuses they are not good enough, altho after what tonga did to the boks yesturday i`m not sure they will win it now!!!

  13. I didn't see it but I bet Johnny Wilkinson got injured.   What a plonker he is, can't walk to the bar without getting himself injured.

  14. They played a lot better today and showed a bit of passion which is more than the Irish did last night!

Cannot see them retaining the Cup though!
