Apparently these two heavyweights are ranked in the top ten by the WBO and WBC respectively.........they have impressive records..........Chapman is 29-0 with 26 KO's........and Holmes is 28-0 with 26 KO's...........i was reading on Fightnews.com that they are fighting against different people on May 3rd, but then they are looking to set up a fight between the two after that........i was just wondering if anyone has seen either and whether either can be a challenger for the title a year or two down the road. Either way i like the fact that the two prospects if they win are looking to fight each other despite knowing that one of them will lose their undefeated record......

  1. I work for the Arkansas promotion where J.D. got his start. He is being "brought along" slowly and just recently stepped up his level of competition in order to get noticed on the world boxing scene.

He's big, strong and has a powerful right. He also is still inexperienced, not having fought as an amateur. He's a solid prospect, but not quite ready to step up against the top world level competition.

    But he will get there.

  2. I seen both guys fight. They can both punch and neither is a great defensive fighter so figures somebody is going to get knocked out. I agree it's good to see undefeated guys fight each other. What is the point of being undefeated, if you are untested. I pick Chapman because he seems to get a bit better every fight and Holmes is 35 but it could easily go the other way. These guys haven't gotten the respect they deserve because one is from Arkansas and the other from North Carolina, and they haven't gotten much TV exposure but you can't win a combined fifty seven fights without being beat once, if you can't really fight. I hope it's televised.

  3. Chapman is  not ready for Holmes.  I have seen Chapman on several occassions, and his punches are some of the slowest I have ever seen.  He is plauding at in his movements.  His reaction time is garbage and is susceptable to someone rushing him.
