Anyone solve this wager?

a couple of guys at work have a 10 quid wager. There was a recent boxing match in Vegas. Joe Clagazie V Anthony Hopkins. Both claim they have proof they won. What we need to know is what title was being fought for, and who was the defending champion.We also need to know. what other titles were held by one or either boxer. thanks.

Well, this is what really happened regardless of the proof that they (guys at work) have:

Joe Calzaghe (45-0, 32 KOs) defeated Bernard Hopkins (48-5-1, 32 KOs) by split decision with scores of 116-111, 115-112, and 113-114.  In doing so, Calzaghe became the new Ring Magazine and true light heavyweight champion of the world.  Calzaghe held the Ring Magazine, WBC, WBA, and WBO super middleweight titles, but they were not on the line for this fight because he moved up in weight to fight Hopkins.

They were pretty much fighting for Hopkins' Ring Magazine Light Heavyweight title. Calzaghe held the WBO, WBC, WBA titles at super middleweight, but they weren't on the line, since the fight was at 175.
