I went back for my lower sixth today. Was really looking forward to having free periods and all that, but everyone realised they were really over-rated when you didn't have anything to do!

How was your first day back?

  1. Ok :) My little brother started secondary school today :) He found me at lunch and gave me a huge hug :) adorable :) x*x

  2. Lower sixth? - that'll be A levels then.

"free periods" are not for dossing about doing nothing they're for self study. Unlike GCSEs A levels require a lot of self study that's what you're supposed to use the "free periods" for.

  3. I started my last year in school, Year 13 yesterday, same as always but with 29 free lessons... h**l im going to be so bored...

but you'll crave having free lessons every now and again

  4. it was my first day of highschool and went bad. To top it all off, I left my locker combination in my locker. =P

  5. I didn't go back I went to work

  6. I just started 7th grade today. Not one of the best days today.

  7. I went in to year 10 today=] It was a good day !!

  8. Mine went smoothly, i started at 11:00am which was good, because i got used to waking up late in the summer anyway, we had an assembly first thing and then had a little break and then talked for abit in the third period. We also had a fire alarm practice just so we know where we'll be standing when the real thing comes...we had lunch too at around 1:30.

Thats it i supposed, we also went home early at around 2:15

  9. Mine was good thanks. I've just started year nine. It's only just hit me lol

    =) x

  10. yes just stared year 10 =/ it was okai but we have 2 timetables and the bus didn't come so we ended up walking home XD happens first day nearly every year

  11. I started lower sixth today as well. I feel exactly the same as you. I dropped an excess subject so for the majority of my study periods, my friends are in lessons.

Though from talking to the year above, they said that they wouldn't be able to cope without them.

It was an induction day for years 7 and 12. We were told about being positive role models for the younger years, and what thing we can do in sixth form.

I really want to start AS level work now, but I'm scared about the A level as a whole because of the new A star grades for our year. Oh well, all I can do is try hard.

Have a nice time for the rest of the year :)

  12. I start tomorrow... :-( I start year nine AND have to change two classes plus I'm going back with a sprained ankle... Usually everytime school starts I get hurt in some way or another, poison ivy, cut open head, etc..
