  1. Yurts were Mongolian tents made of leather.

    Therefore, if there are any Yurts in southern France I would expect it to full of Mongolians.

    Presumably they'll eating yak butter washed down with the local plonk and bemoaning the death of Ghengis Khan.

  3. It's hard enough to convince ppl to stay in a hotel where the bathroom is at the end of the hallway.  I wouldn't even try to convince ppl to stay in a yurt.  But I'd imagine that staying in a yurt is just like camping.  If you wanna go camping, go for it!

  4. Yes you can find Mongolian yurts (made of felt, not leather...) in south of France, but also in the Alps, the Pyrenees or other places in the countryside.

    Very popular with horse farms, ecotourism lodge or simply camping grounds. Usually very comfy in a "natural" way.
