Man I spent the entire night watching that game, what a battle! Just when you think Simon was going for the win, Kiefer gets in his way, but what a nervous breakdown he went through!! That crazy 31-year old German had to struggle to save every last break Simon fought for.

Talk about Safin being a mental head case, this guy makes Safin look as focused as Nadal. Kiefer had 67 unforced errors yet he won through the tiebreak due Simon feeling worn down. Imagine winnng a match with that many unforced errors.

I doubt this guy will survive Nadal's game due to how much he had to struggle with Simon.

  1. And your question is??

  2. It was a great game.  I saw it online when it first happened.

It will be a miracle if Kiefer beats Nadal, but frankly, Nadal didn't look all that amazing against Murray, so we'll see. It's a long shot.

  3. That match was actually played earlier in the day, but a good one at that, though not televised. As usual tennisChannel rather show repeats of other matches, "DEstination Tennis" episodes etc, but anyway.  As well as Kiefer is playing, I dont see him doing too well against Nadal. First he will be sort of exhausted. Second Nadal posesses way too much defense, running game, and mental toughness to lose to someone liek Kiefer. Grant it is a hard court and Nadal has to work a bit harder and wont record as many winners, but again, his defense speaks for itself as well as his legs. I say Nadal 6-2 6-3.
