Question:

Anyone still believe that the Earth is at the centre of the Universe?

It isn't. All galaxies are moving uniformly apart; the Big Bang has yet to cease.

But I was just wondering if anyone still believed that the Earth is located 'centrally' in the universe?

  1. Ok...I believe in the Big Bang Theory, but since you ask about this I have a question I hope someone can answer. I read Big Bang by Singh and he explains that the universe originated in one place and then exploded outward about 15 billion years ago. All fine so far. Then he says that some stars are moving away from us and some are moving toward us, and you can tell whiich is which by the color of the light they given off. Now I've got a real problem with this.

If thing exploded outward from a central point you would think that everything would be moving away from us. Draw a dot in the center of a page with lines radiating out from it. Why would anything be moving closer together? It's not like things would explode outward and after a few billion years take a turn in another direction. Gravity from other objects would have influenced events more when the objects were close and less with each passing year.  Any explanation here?

    hilarious

  7. Yes, but galaxies are moving at different speeds, angles, and directions, they have pictures of this and it doesn't fit in their big bang definitions so they ignore telling you until they can "figger it out"

  8. i am at the centre of the universe

  9. Evolutionists believe that there is no centre.

This is a outcome of the cosmological principle which is an assumption that the universe has no centre and no edge.

This is a philosophical assumption, not an observed fact.

If the earth is at the centre then this is obviously a problem for evolutionists who would like to believe that earth is nothing special.

Observation suggests that earth may in fact be at or near the centre of the universe.

The earth is indeed special - created before the rest of the universe. So it makes sense for it to be at the middle.

  10. This is old news. Some people still think like ancient people, were they believe that to be true. What religious scriptures talks about is our existences and our natural reaction was our own importance and that gave rise to the idea of a us being at the centre of the Universe and everything else revolving around us.

  11. It's not even in the centre of our galaxy!

  12. Yes, some people are Geocentrists.
