  1. Good answer Smasher!  I was looking for the numbers.

Apparently the Cats have grown from 30,000 to 37,000 this year.  Success breeds success I guess.

Downside is it will be harder to win the grand final ticket ballot this year!

  2. well i think its adelaide, collingwood, essendon, carlton then mayb freo or richmond? also essendon and carlton might b the otha way round

  3. As of June 6, 2008

    Adelaide - 47,995

    (West Coast - 44,764)

    (Dockers - 43,094)

    Magpies - 40,278

    Hawthorn - 40,147

    Bombers - 40,030

    Carlton - 40,001

  4. Membership numbers are always changing, and don't rely on Wikipedia as it is only updated by everyday people. Some of the stuff on there is ridiculous. Even my son has added things that are unconfirmed.

  5. Apart from WA, the Adelaide Crows would have a lot of support because they were the first South Aus team in the competition, and there isn't much choice (Port is fairly new). Out of the Victorian Clubs, I would say Collingwood, Carlton, Essendon and Richmond would have the most supporters. Sydney and Brisbane wouldn't have many since people in NSW and QLD follow more rugby.

Don't forget that membership numbers don't always reflect the amount of supporters of a club. Some teams could have supporters who can't afford memberships, or just don't want them, so you have to take that into account.

  6. Smash, where do you find all this stuff????

is your real name demetriou ??   LOL

  7. Why "apart fom WA?"
