Anyone that actually lives in Cancun??

Question

I'm leaving for Cancun Monday but have been checking out the weather doesn't look too good. Can someone that actually lives in Cancun or maybe just came back tell me if it is sunny at all? I don't like to trust the weather channel b/cuz they can be off sometimes. The weather they post for my area is most of the time is wrong. Please help!!! If it isn't sunny or doesn't look like it's going to be I want to cancel my trip before Monday. Also, I don't mind occasional showers because I know this is normal.

I live south of Cancun in the RM. We had a storm this morning but it's been glorious since about 10am. Reeeeeeally hot! Glad of the storms to clear the air a little. Awww! Don't cancel!! :)
