Anyone that works at a jail or in law enforcement please answer?

Question

I am currently 15 and a freshman. I can participate in the ICE program junior year if i meet the requirements, (ICE is where you go to school half day and a job half day). I am very interested in becoming a jail nurse for the county jail, i have researched and know what i need to do after high school to become a jail nurse. Well, do you think if i contacted the county jail about possibly coming in half day and working with or observing the nurse(s) and what they do there. ? I know things are confidential but do you think its worth asking? any answers would help me out. thanks. =)

Go ahead and ask. The worst that will happen is they will say no.

Sorry, you would not be able to work with them because at your age you cannot be any where near inmates.  i would find a doctor's officer or clinic where you could work then when you are over 18 then you could maybe see about a job in or around the jail
