i think teh secret ingredients include:

paprika

onion salt

celery salt

rubbed sage

garlic powder

ground allspice

ground oregano

chili powder

black pepper

basil leaves, crushed

marjoram leaves, crushed finely

I think they use chick pea flour.  My mom makes fried food at home with chick pea flour and it has that KFC taste to it !

i would like to know what the secret herbs and spices are as well. i would make my own. i love their food. i've going to KFC in about ten minutes to get me the original recipe strip meal.

You can do a search on the web but I bet you'll get close to it. Flour and 11 herbs and spices. I found this on the web.

This is the one I used for years starting back in 1970. It comes out like the spicy ORIGINAL secret herb recipe. I don't think the current chicken tastes anything like it used to.

1 tablespoon rosemary

1 tablespoon oregano

1 tablespoon powdered sage

1 teaspoon powdered ginger

1 teaspoon marjoram

1 1/2 teaspoon thyme

3 tablespoons packed brown sugar

3 tablespoons dry minced parsley

1 teaspoon pepper

1 tablespoon paprika

2 tablespoons garlic salt

2 tablespoons onion salt

2 tablespoons powdered chicken bouillon

1 package Lipton tomato cup of soup mix (You must include this. It won't be the same without it.)
