  1. the fed will most likely not reach the finals. he's clearly in a funk this year. other players are hungry and all gunning at the fed.

i expect him not to win a major title in 2008.

  2. he wont make it to finals

  3. Well, if he does get to the finals it will be one huge uphill battle. Everyone on his side of the draw is very tough, so he's fighting giants the entire tournament.

One girl pointed out that his difficult draw is good for him, because it will help force him to play absolute best tennis all the time.

  4. He'll lose to Ferrer in the QF.

  5. i won't be putting my money against him making the finals. he's the world no.1 for godsake but again i have a feeling we just so the last of Federer on clay finals at Monte-Carlo.. perhaps even at other surfaces too? who knows.

but i wouldn't right him off totaly.

  6. I didn't think he'd make the finals in Monte Carlo but he did.

I think it would be cool if he and Rafa made the finals again..so yea I think he can! :-)

  7. For Nadal: I see him winning it all over again...

For Federer: It will snow in the fire pits of h**l before he wins this tournament.

  8. if he's not playing at his best.. or he's making too much errors... but hope nadal still wins in rome, hamburg and french oen! :) vamos nadal!

  9. Hey, hold your horses,....Federer is still 5-10% more talented than Nadal, dont forget that....Roger will reach the finals in Rome only to lose and start all over again in Hamburg where he will reach the finals and win just like last year...history repeating itself is the trend....

  10. I think he'll make it to the finals. He had a week, so he should be playing better as he play the remaining clay court tournaments. For me, I think the final woud be Federer vs. Nadal again. Time will tell. If you have the tennis channel, which I think you do, watch out for both players that I am going to watch to see if they play well or not to go the finals.

  11. Well I've heard his draw is tough, and it may be a good thing for him because he'll have to play on his best all the time and it'll be a good thing for him to test how much better he's doing since the mono sickness. It should always be Roger and Rafa in the finals.

  12. It's really a toss up on this. If he makes it past Canas then he has a shot at the finals because while Mathieu, Gasquet, and Ferrer are extremely talented, they are big head cases who probably still don't believe they can beat Federer. On paper those guys are tough but against Federer they'd likely throw in the towel before the first ball is struck.

I'd love to see a Djokovic/Federer rematch. I think Djokovic will be more prepared for this match up than he was last time. If he does make it to the final I think Nadal will be ready for him.

  13. It should be a Roger Rafa final.  Roger has a harder route, but it won't matter.

I agree and a lot of experts reported that Roger should have had Rome 2006.  He's got to get a tougher mentality against Nadal.

  14. i have a feeling that federer might win rome this year. maybe it'll snow in h**l too... =P he almost won in 2006 (2 match points against nadal), so maybe he can do it this time. personally, i think federer choked in that match. too bad... really... i also thought he would finally win in monte carlo. i was wrong. but at least he broke nadal lots of times which i think is a very positive thing. he just couldn't hold serve. rome's clay courts are faster than in monte carlo so i think this a bit better for federer in a federer-nadal rematch. if he can win against nadal in a clay court, then federer can definitely win against other players. hopefully higueras has taught him a lot during his break. hopefully... GO FEDERER!!!

  15. I'm a big Federer fan, and I'm always skeptical of his clay court play, because there are so many good clay courters out there.  I would say he has a good chance at the finals if Volandri or Canas are not on his side of the draw.  Plus he's well rested, so a good run in Rome is ok!!!  Just so he's at his peak at the French!
