  1. Yes and no.

Sometimes they are to the point not matter who is messing up at the time of their reporting. But sometimes it seems like American athelets can do no wrong!

I do feel this horrible sense of ‘American entitlement’ that I do not like! (that only seems to appear when we lose.. go figure!)

Either way, I enjoy gymnastic and tend to drown out the sportscasters and make my own decisions.

I root for whoever did the best, no matter the country!

  2. Yes, Tim Daggett is really getting on my nerves lately.  He is not a judge.  He's a former gymnast, and now he's a commentator.  His job is to report on what happened... not to give his opinon on scores, etc.  Everyone is saying how this new scoring system is ruining gymnastics, but the truth is, it's the commentators who are ruining it!  They're stirring up unnecessary controversy and causing the average viewer to think the sport is a complete mess.  But it's not!  The new system works fine.  The only dumb thing about it is that there has to be a tie breaker.  Both gymnasts should've gotten gold medals.  But that was an IOC decision, not an FIG decision.

  3. nope, i think you are alone...now lets talk about those judges...

  4. Yes, they are. But it is understandable. American TV guys mark themselves special by hurling emotional and sometimes racist remarks. Competing in the US TV industry is hard and you need some emotional bling blings.
