yeh so what they reached the t20 final the only reason wa becuz of geof lawson who had very good experience in t20 coaching but when it comes to ODIz 50 over match pak have been c**p they only can beat the teams which are not ranked high in ODi such as bangladesh and zimbabwe, they lost the series against south africa+ IND and aint won a series against there arch rivals india for a long time.

personally i think with the new management rules restriction within the PCB and the appointment of geoff lawson (only good 4 t20 at the moment) will contribute to pakistan not being the unpredictable viciouse team they used to be.

they had a 12 run win streak hahaaaaa having beaten bangladesh and zimbabwe i was thinking w8 till they face a team like india then we will see what happens then look what happens as a result they loose by 140 runs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EMBARRASINGGGGGGGG

they will have to be at their best if they are to win the asia cup which they wont guranteeeeeeeeed!

  1. dude pakistan is a self proclaimed best team in the world.. lol

no but honestly they are amongst one of the worst teams in the world currently..

it was quite funny how the media was hyping up their 12 game winning streak..

where they swept .. zimbabwe , bangladesh 5-0 lol

Current ODI rankings imo should be:

South Africa, Australia, India, New Zealand, Srilanka, England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Zimbabwe and Kenya.

  2. No. This feeling generally comes up after a really bad defeat or two. But remember, cricket is a team game and you don't need big names to win, as India proved, by winning without Sachin, Rahul, etc. All Pak need to do is believe in themselves and suddenly this bunch of seeming no-gooders becomes world beaters.

This is what we saw in India. The team composition didn't change much, instead they started believing they could beat the best, and they did!!!!!!

You fans need to stand by your team and support them. And remember, you don't need Shoaib, Asif, etc. to win. these are excuses for losing.

  3. No, I don't think so. Go over the names and tell me which players are bad.

  4. oh harsh words.

I've never watched a match with Pakistan in it, quite shameful really but those words are quite harsh and can only come from a supporter or a person who lives in Pakistan.

If a team tries it doesn't matter, remember when just playing cricket was the best thing ever and winning was a bonus. Maybe that never happened but it should have and still should.

  5. They have some talent, but they are pretty bad.  They don't really have a good bowling attack.  Sohail Tanvir is a bit over rated I feel; his 20/20 success won't translate to the test format, or in odi's for that matter.

The two bowlers Pakistan need most have issues.  Mohammad Asif and his drugs and injuries.  And Shoaib Akhtar and his attitude. Without those two, pakistans bowling is woeful at times.

Also, they don't have a decent spin option.  Kaneria is mediocre, and the rest of them are part timers.

As for their batting, there is some talent, but no consistency. They critically need a good opening pair of batsmen.

Pakistan will need to develop some more talented players to return to there heyday.

  6. They do their best with what they have.

  7. looks like

  8. They are pretty awful. The number of free runs they gave away in the field (from the very first over till the very last) shows what an unprofessional outfit they are. It would be a shock to see them beat India or any other decent side at the moment. Every country goes through cycles... and I believe Pakistan has hit rock bottom. The good news... at least things can't get worse.

  9. i think they are good enough to be in the top 3or 4 ,but again they are plagued but political unrest in the board room

they need some structure as professional as the Australian cricket board ,then they can start going places ,..i think we can see the effects of a good structural back ground by the rise of India ,the last couple of years ...bring back Imran to run the show hes the only one people listen to

they need to get there act together there is allot of talent there
