I am Iranian Be sure
there is no threat in iran.
if not say it is the safest place,
I should say it is one of the safest countries in the world. this is all propaganda against this country.
because there is no gun in the hands of any nut to kill you in the middle of the street or college and there is no drunkard rampaging in the streets at nights.

Isfahan, Abyaneh, shiraz, meseums of Tehran,  and lots of other cities are the historical places u can visit.
I dont recommend Dizin and Shemshak , there are lots of better places to go
