My German Shepherd suddenly took an interest in the litter box p**p so my vet recommended this powder called "Forbid" to put in canned cat food for 5 days. Well this is the 5th day and my GSD is still invading the litter boxes. Anyone had luck with this powder or anything else you can recommend?

  1. I've used Forbid before.  It worked for one dog, didn't for another.  It just depends on the individual dog I think.  Your best bet is probably to try and put the litterbox in a room that you can block off with a baby gate or something, so he can't get in there.  That's what we ended up having to do.

  2. Maybe you could make it an off limits area like put a baby gate around it the cats can still get in but the dog can't.

  3. a self cleaning cat box it sift out p**p every so many minutes or some are motion censored that way the poo will be in a bin an not in your dog

  4. try to catch her in the nasty act lol  my gsd did it alot. when you catch her make a really loud noise like shaking a coffee can full of coins and do it every time she goes to the litterbox after a few tries she will learn that the litterbox has a horrid noise with it and will leave it alone good luck
