  1. I lost 30 pounds on Sure Slim when I lived in London.  The diet is available in the UK, Western Canada, Australia, NZ, etc., but NOT in the US as far as I know.  I think the upfront cost in Canada is about $800.  This gets you a personalized plan, based on the results of a blood test.  It is really only slightly "personalized"; the basic diet is a low-fat, low-carb program tailored somewhat to your lifestyle, blood test, etc.  Your upfront fee also pays for a personal weekly weigh-in and brief counseling session (no group stuff like WW), which for me was the best part.  (I had a really good counselor) There is only the one blood test; not weekly.

I LOVED this program.  My eating habits have changed FOR GOOD for the better, and although I have put some weight back on due to some stresses, whenever it gets out of control I just pull out the Sure Slim plan and go right back at it.  The program requires that one meal every day have a foundation of the "free" veggies (lettuce, cucumbers, etc) which means basically one meal each day will be a salad.  I have eaten a salad for lunch almost every day since then; I love to try different combinations of veggies and different protiens.

The other thing I will say is that I started to feel more energetic, healthier, and happier within a week or two of starting the program.  This makes it really easy to keep going.  I did have some headaches during the first week (can you say "detox"?), but Ibuprofen took care of those and they were gone in 2-3 days.

Absolutely the hardest part for me was NO ALCOHOL during the quick-loss phase.  But in the end this also resulted in a good lifestyle change for me.  I still drink a bit (mostly red wine) on special occasions, etc., but my heavy boozing days are gone for good and I'm sure I'm better for it.
