  1. This is a new device. You might want to check out some more articles and a video on how it was tested, lately. After a number of people use this we'll find out if it works like they say it does. tinyurl(dot)(com)/5og6d8

  2. The Hydro 4000 simply cannot work as described.  The energy used to create the "HHO" must be more than the energy gotten back from burning it.  The test showing 60% less fuel consumption was seriously flawed.  Anyone spending $1200 on this is a fool.

  3. I saw this on my local news station last night. They had a news affiliate use it on the news truck that was getting 9 miles to the gallon. It then went to 23 miles a gallon ( reported on the news 5/8/08 ). I am going to seriously look into it.

  4. "The energy used to create the "HHO" must be more than the energy gotten back from burning it."

That's not true.  The process is catalytic.  There is energy already stored in water in the form of hydrogen.  The amount of energy to release the hydrogen does not have to be proportional to the energy you get from it.   In the same way that the amount of energy to carry a gas can to your car is not the same as the energy inside the gas can.

  5. Also on the video on WPSD it said it went from like 9 to 23 mpg a 61% increase.  I am no math major but I think that is more than 61% increase.

  6. There is a lot of info - video, testimonials, etc. - about a similar system at http://tinyurl.com/5g8uol  The Hydro 4000 is about $1200, but this site sells plans for a little under $100 + about $60-100 in parts, I think. Varying MPG improvements were reported, and it does require some tuning. Basically, it uses your car's vacuum system to draw HHO from a jar filled with distilled water and baking soda. A stainless steel electrified wire creates the HHO, and the vacuum pumps it out and into your air intake. In winter, a little alcohol in the mix keeps it from freezing. I have a friend who's installing it right now, but no data yet. Pretty cool stuff!

  7. There is 1 major problem with this & all the other do-it-yourself kits on the internet & that is if your cars factory computer sees more than a 10% increase for an extended period of time, than it will go into the default settings & your mileage will drop drastically.

The auto mfg's have done this intentionally so you must have another computer to tell the factory computer to except the new perimeters such as a programmable chip or standalone device that can tap into the mfg computer.

This technology is very viable and does work and in some cases up to 200% plus increase in mileage. CHEAPER IS NOT BETTER when it comes to HAFC (Hydrogen Assist Fuel Cell) technology.

  8. I think the over/under utility argument may be mote as long as your car generates electricity in abundance.

That being said do you burn enough gas (sitting at idle as opposed to driving) in the time it takes for the unit to wear out (the electrodes and cathodes are consumables) to justify it's cost.

Also would the unit preform better in a smaller displacement engine (4cyd vs 8)

Lastly would performance vary over distance of drives (eight blocks, ten miles or fifty miles).

  9. I think u are talking about injecting hydrogen into your car while it is mostly ruining on gasoline. . There is no more oxygen in your car system to burn the hydrogen.
