Here's the thing, my little brothers cat has a tumor...well I'm almost sure it is. Like a big bump that goes up in her skin, she's also overweight. So anyways, it started oozing today, it was like white stuff dripping from it. Anyone have a possible idea on what it is. And by the way please don't say go to your vet, because obviously the cat is for sure going. I just want ideas, on what it can be, thanks in advance.

  1. Did you taste it?  It could be mashed potatoes.

  2. a cyst of some type is what it sounds like... or a bad infection under the skin that has ruptured.  Im almost certain antibiotics will help cure it.

  3. I had a cat with similiar tumor. When any living thing is dying they basically "release" all fluids like you wouldn't believe.  It's as if they can't "hold it in"  Well a tumor, depending on where it is(you didn't say) can ooze if it is near a gland or opening.  So sad your cat is dying and I'm sorry.  I've been through that and would never want to go thru again.

  4. It doesn't sound like a tumor--maybe a parasite.

  5. tumors are usually internal and don't produce puss.  it is more likely some sort of scratch or cut that has become infected and is oozing puss.  pop it and treat with antibiotics... but it is a cat... wear some thick gloves.  5 long sleeve shirts and a face mask.

  6. so you havnt even takne her to the vet for some pain killers , why do you own a cat?

  7. I have had lots of experience with cats

and to me it sounds like an absess. An absess

happens when they get a tear or puncture in

their skin and it gets infected, thus the pus

oozing out. Most likely the cat has a temperature

too. The vet will lance it and drain, clean it out.

The cat will get  antibotics and should be fine.

This is not something that could kill the cat

unless it goes untreated and the cat gets high fever

etc. Take her to the vet, it's usually pretty cheap

to treat. Hope all is well with the cat :)

  8. it's probably a benign cyst, but to be sure take it to the vet and have it cut out.

  9. The cat might not be going it could just be a cyst, or an infection under the skin, and if finally popped, why not take the animal to vet, especially if there is chance that it could be saved?!?!?!
