I've been working on this homework question for days! I'm going out of my mind and almost ready to give up. The question is as follows:

For each situation described in 1, 2 and 3, indicate

a) the type of solution that exists (hypertonic, isotonic, hypotonic)

b) the direction in which particles will move

c) the name of the type of transport mechanism at work

d) the final result

1. Red blood cells are removed from their normal cellular environment and placed in a test tube with pure water.

2. A medicinal patch is placed behind the ears of a passenger flying to Asia to help treat motion sickness.

3. A chef sprinkles salt on a platter of fresh vegetables.

If someone can please help me out, thank you, thank you, thank you!
