We are looking to replace our 5.4GHz phones that for some reason have a lot of interference. I've been reading about the DECT phones. Anyone have any experience with these? I've read both good and bad reviews. Thanks.

  1. I have the DECT GE skype phone, its neat crystal clear too. it's supposed to see what "band" is not being used using  a free band first. I dont notice any interference when using it.

  2. Nothing special about DECT phones. Just 'hype', and they operate around 1900 Mhz. I have never had an interference problem with all the cordless spectrums. However, I do prefer the Panasonic with dual cordless handsets... Some do better with switching channels than others. I always get a clean, clear channel. V-Tech have a lot of problems. Do most of you know that most 5.8 Ghz. phones use 2.4 or 900 for the base!! (Read the fine print.)
